These robust, virtually maintenance-free IEC low-voltage motors are suitable for a multitude of applications in every industry. Of course, ABB’s asynchronous motors comply with all mandatory efficiency regulations – nationally and internationally.

ABB’s asynchronous motors offer the characteristics and functions for reaching new levels of efficiency and energy savings, even under demanding conditions. The low-voltage motors combine the best materials available with superior technology. As such, these versatile electric motors are designed for reliable operation, irrespective of how demanding the process or application is. Furthermore, the asynchronous motors in our product assortment stand out due to their low life-cycle costs.

Our range of low-voltage motors covers a power range from 0.09 to 1000 kW. Whether it’s highly efficient for a positive energy balance, explosion-protected for the highest safety standards, industry or customer-specific or according to the IEC or NEMA standard: Each AC motor is equipped standard with many different features for the highest efficiency.

We carry two types of asynchronous motors from our partner ABB: Motors for the process industry and standard motors.

Motors for the process industry
ABB electric motors for the process industry are robust, premium-quality products. To implement customized solutions, they offer a great deal of flexibility and can be very precisely tailored to the respective requirements. The award-winning product range of asynchronous motors for the process industry is designed for durability, even in the most demanding of environments and applications. As a result, they are ideally suited for the process industry and overload applications.
These low-voltage motors consistently demonstrate reliability, availability and energy-efficiency under difficult conditions, e.g. in mining, cement or paper manufacturing. Numerous options for various applications in the process industry are available along with select accessories such as vibration and RPM-monitoring solutions. In addition, the motors can be modified – e.g. for foot and flange mounting.

Standard motors
The high-quality ABB standard motors offer enormous potential for modification with their simple, robust design. They are usable in all common industrial applications in the available standard variants. The modular design of asynchronous motors make them extremely flexible, user-friendly and easy to use. The available accessories allow them to be customized to customer requirements, and the customization is performed individually on a per-order basis. Documentation is available online for quick and easy access.
The standard asynchronous motors by ABB are suitable for a multitude of applications. They especially include OEMs that use electric motors in pumps and fans. Additional fields of application for low-voltage motors include compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, material transport, tool machines and others. Some of the standard versions are available ex works and can be used immediately in your application.
